Wood is recruiting for a Senior Flow Assurance Engineer to join its Production Optimisation team within the Digital Consulting business unit. This position offers hybrid work flexibility and is open to applicants from across the UK, ideally those who can easily commute to our Aberdeen, Reading or Staines office.
The Role
This role will contribute to the technical delivery of Flow Assurance engineering excellence and involves collaborating closely with the Lead Flow Assurance Engineer to meet project deliverables on time and within budget. The Senior Flow Assurance Engineer will manage their own schedule, contribute to progress reports, and suggest adjustments to project plans and cost estimates as required. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

- Previous experience in Flow Assurance.
- Recognized qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (Chemical, Petroleum, or Mechanical Engineering).
- Knowledge of multiphase flow, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and related engineering topics is desirable but not required.
- Proficient user of typical Process, Flow Assurance, and PVT software suites, such as OLGA, Leda Flow, Pipesim, PVTSim, and Multiflash.
- User of relevant industry-standard Process Modelling tools like Aspen HYSYS/Unisim (desired but not necessary).
- Experience with performing steady state and transient flow assurance modelling for Oil and Gas-Condensate systems.
- Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
- Ability to use Office software suite.
- Working level of knowledge of industry and technology development within the discipline area.
- Ability to undertake discrete FA scopes within a Study or Project independently.
- Ability to guide and mentor Graduate Engineers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with Visual Basic is desirable.
