We are currently seeking 4 Assistant Brand Manager Students (Industrial Placement) to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment. The position will be based in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey. This full-time temporary role is for 12 months, ideally starting ASAP, requiring 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to £26,107.50 per annum. The role currently offers a mix of remote and onsite working, subject to adjustment based on business requirements.
Your Future Employer
Students must have completed the penultimate year of their undergraduate degree by the time they start their placement and be returning to study after their placement. Our ABM Industrial Placements are a chance to showcase your thinking and skills, bringing new ideas and perspectives, with total support from a line manager and a buddy.
Background/General Purpose of Position:
Unilever is one of the key Personal Care manufacturers in the UKI, with some of the category’s largest and most loved brands, including Dove, Sure & Lynx. To continue leading the category, we have a number of openings for Student Assistant Brand Managers (Industrial Placement). These roles will be part of the core marketing team, responsible for supporting the brand, media, and innovation teams on deploying our much-loved innovation and outstanding communication, making our brands unmissable amongst UK consumers. We have a number of roles available across brand, media, and innovation functions.
Day to day responsibilities could include:
- Working with media teams and external agencies to execute our unmissable communication campaigns, including media planning and asset adaptation.
- Support cross-functional colleagues on managing key innovation production and deployment across some of the UK’s leading retailers.
- Support shopper marketing teams on bringing our innovation to life instore and online through best-in-class experiences.
- Execution of sampling plans and instore events.
- Analysing and reporting brand/market performance.
- Help manage multi-million-pound budgets.
- Analysis and tracking of key competitors.
- Partner with key customer account managers to generate sales opportunities.

Additional Information
The role will require travel to other sites in central London as and when needed. Kingston working environment: Contractors who are based at Kingston will be eligible to get free parking at a local carpark. There is a Staff Shop located on the Ground Floor next to the main entrance, where Contingent Workers can buy discounted products. A canteen and a gym are available for use on the Ground Floor (with subscription).
