Whitehall Fruitpackers is a progressive horticultural company based in the Waikato. While our main focus is on our 270+ canopy hectares of green and gold kiwifruit (with a strong focus on organics), we are involved in a diverse range of primary production including dairy farming, dry stock, apiaries, and forestry.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy diesel vehicles and machinery. This role involves working closely with the Workshop Manager to ensure the fleet is maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose and repair heavy diesel vehicles and machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in managing inventory of parts and supplies.
- Communicate effectively with the Workshop Manager and other team members.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in using tools and equipment.
