Location: Grimsby

About the Role:

  • Workshop Fitter role based in the pump department: ability to strip / inspect / repair of pumps, motors and gearboxes.
  • Creation of detailed inspection reports / fault diagnosis / identification of failure mode.
  • Decipher OEM drawings, tolerances and spare parts identification.
  • Working on, repairing and maintaining a wide range of mechanical industrial Pumps working to and complying with the companies health & safety procedures and adhering to company SSW & RAMS.
  • Working in ERIKS engineering facilities both in house and on site at a variety of customer sites in the area, within a busy 24 hour 7 day a week operation supporting strategic customers from a well-equipped workshop environment.
  • To continue to encourage participation, innovation & creativity to improve the working environment.

Hours of Work:

  • Mon – Thurs – 08:30 – 16:30 / Fri – 08:30 – 15:30
  • 39 hours per week
  • 1 hour break

Key Skills, Experience & Requirements:

  • Level 3 Mechanical / Electrical qualification required.
  • Prior experience of Pump repairs and overhaul.
  • Ability to work unassisted and solo when required, whilst maintaining good team ethics.
  • Understanding of detailed measurement techniques and working to tolerances.
  • High level of health & safety awareness in the workplace on customer sites.
  • Flexible attitude to learn new skills and functions within the team & role.
