Joining us as a Boots Healthcare Logistics Driver (HLD) is a great opportunity. You’ll deliver first class care to those in the community who might otherwise never visit a Boots store. You’ll be part of a unique service that prioritises the patient behind the parcel; this really is a role that offers so much more than other delivery roles.
About the role
You will report into the Healthcare Logistics Manager and your role will be to provide outstanding customer care by delivering and collecting medicines from Care Homes, patients at home, GP surgeries and other Boots stores within an allocated route time. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate deliveries whilst following safety protocols. You’ll be provided with a vehicle that is maintained by Boots with all the training and equipment that you will need to work safely, including a handheld device that provides pre-planned routing and satellite navigation.
You will also:
- Build great relationships with store teams, care homes and GP surgeries.
- Follow standards, operating policies and health and safety procedures.
- Drive safely and legally.
- Keep your vehicle maintained and clean, reporting any damage or issues.
- Feedback relevant customer comments and concerns and make suggestions on how the operation can be improved.

Information about the role
We are looking for drivers who can be flexible to meet our customers’ needs. Your basic hours will be 17.25 hours per week, and your days of work will be Monday Thursday and Saturday. You will cover shifts and your normal start and finish times will be 08:45 to 13:00, 13:45 to 17:00 and 17:30 to 20:30. You will be on-call for a further two shifts per week as a minimum, to cover extra deliveries as needed by our customers.
