Salt is working with a global consultancy delivering high-level mainframe optimisation services to a major banking client. We are recruiting an experienced Mainframe Performance and Capacity Analyst to support proactive tuning and capacity planning across critical z/OS environments. This role sits within a Performance Competence Centre, with responsibility for system and application performance diagnostics, workload forecasting, and tooling optimisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, analyse, and tune mainframe system and application performance
- Conduct capacity forecasting and support infrastructure provisioning
- Lead performance data analysis and reporting using SMF, RMF, WLM
- Develop and maintain custom tooling and dashboards
- Liaise with technical teams to prevent capacity-related issues
- Create documentation, reports, and performance improvement plans
