We have an excellent opportunity for a skilled Data Architect to join our team in Scotland. The successful candidate will inform the technical architecture, roadmap and design of Microsoft Fabric and related data centric platforms/solutions.
What you’ll do
- Report to the Data & Analytics (D&A) Data Engineering Manager to agree priorities and day to day activities
- Inform the technical architecture, roadmap and scalable solution design for new and enhanced data centric solutions on Microsoft Fabric and other platforms, including:
- OneLake, Lakehouses, Data Warehousing and Dataflows & Pipelines
- Metadata and data lineage management
- Data governance and master data management (MDM)
- Integration with on-premise, cloud, and third-party data sources
What to bring
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with business and technical audiences
- Demonstrable experience in large scale Data Architecting roles
- Practical experience using agile methodologies
- Proficient understanding of fundamental Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques
- Relevant Microsoft certifications would be preferred, but not essential
