We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Product Manager to oversee and execute the strategy and execution for our suite of Data Products and tools, which support ITV’s Insight Group. You will be the primary point of contact for Data Products and related tools within the ITV Insights Group. As an individual contributor, you will work closely with data engineering, data science, data analytics, and business stakeholders, reporting to the Director of ITV Insight Group.

Main responsibilities

  • Define and champion the data product vision and strategy for our Insight and Analytics tools: Develop a deep understanding of business needs and translate them into a compelling product vision and roadmap for data products and tools related to Insight and Analytics.
  • Lead & own existing Insight Department Data Products, services & tools: Take ownership of, evaluate effectiveness, identify gaps, and develop plans for improvement or replacement as needed of: ITV analytics tooling and the Data Products built on Google Cloud Platform which powers it, Contractual data, 1st and 3rd Party Content Meta Data, BARB 3rd Party Viewing data.
  • Work in collaboration with Product and Streaming technology teams on data products for 1st party viewer and viewing data as well as ITV linear viewing data collection technology Google Cloud Platform data products or services which use or process data.
  • Contribute to the overall Data Product strategy: Collaborate with other Data Product Managers in Marketing and Streaming groups to ensure a cohesive and consistent product practice across the ‘Viewer’ strategy and operating group.
  • Developing new Data Products: Work with Heads of Insights to identify opportunities for new data products, focusing on Data Products that support ITV’s viewer and content strategies.
  • Interface with Central Data Tech: Effectively communicate and collaborate with the Central Data Tech team, briefing on requirements as one of Central Data’s main stakeholders. Ensure alignment on data product development, infrastructure, tooling, and data product roadmap.
  • Lead the entire data product lifecycle for ITV Insights: From ideation and discovery through to launch and iteration, you will manage the end-to-end product lifecycle for your portfolio. This includes conducting research, gathering requirements, analyzing data, writing user stories, and collaborating with multiple engineering teams to deliver high-quality data products.

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business, or related field) - this is desirable.
  • Solid experience in product management, with a focus on data products and tools.
  • Deep understanding of data and analytics concepts, including data collection, processing, and visualization.
  • Experience with streaming technologies and platforms is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate requirements into actionable Data Product specifications.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing data products.
