Upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship, there may be an opportunity to transition into a permanent IT support role within the team.

The responsibilities include:

  • Attending and completing an appropriate apprenticeship course to a high standard and on time.
  • Using the Archway IT Manual to deliver IT services to end users under the supervision of the IT Support Manager, ensuring all procedures are followed.
  • Assisting in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network and server systems.
  • Maintaining and ensuring the proper and safe functioning of all end-user IT equipment and software.
  • Installing hardware and software as required.
  • Supporting the delivery and collection of repairable IT items to and from suppliers.
  • Demonstrating and setting up IT and AV equipment for events.
  • Monitoring and replenishing consumables such as printer cartridges, mice, and keyboards.
  • Supporting adherence to software licensing agreements.
  • Preparing user documentation to assist staff and students.
  • Monitoring system misuse and escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Supporting the enhancement and operation of a high-quality learning environment.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with some flexibility to meet business needs.
