Reporting to the Head of Transmission, this role is responsible for ensuring that strategic and BAU activities across the network are managed and delivered appropriately, translating the wider team vision and roadmap for their areas of the business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading cross-functional teams, suppliers, and shareholder stakeholders to deliver high-quality transmission services.
- Driving successful implementation of technical network changes to meet company design and HSQA standards.
- Maintaining seamless network continuity while managing multiple moving parts in a dynamic environment.
- Managing and motivating external partners and contract resources to hit targets across cost, time, and quality.
- Taking swift action to address delivery underperformance, implementing recovery strategies and escalating issues when needed.
- Overseeing supplier performance through structured reviews, reporting, and governance meetings.
- Proactively reforecasting budgets and collaborating with finance and programme teams to keep things on track.
- Ensuring stakeholder alignment on site rollout plans, timeframes, and evolving requirements.
- Championing exceptional service delivery internally and externally—always raising the bar.
