At DXC, one of our platinum accounts has positions for hybrid working DBA for varying skill levels.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Installing and configuring database binaries
  • Writing and maintaining scripts to automate DBA tasks
  • Investigating and implementing automation of processes
  • Perform routine, periodic, and proactive operation and monitoring
  • Troubleshoot database related issues
  • Perform patching and upgrades to ensure data security
  • Be able to work 5 days onsite in Central London
Desirable Skills And Technologies:
  • Administration experience in a database technology such as MongoDB, MySQL, etc
  • Experience of OS such as RHEL and Windows Server
  • Experience in cloud technologies such as AWS
  • Knowledge of database monitoring tools, such as OEM and Nagios
  • Experience in scripting, such as Python
  • Knowledge of database server clustering, failover, and disaster recovery
  • Experience in database replication software, such as Data Guard, Replication Manager for PostgreSQL, and MongoDB ReplicaSets
  • Experience in backup/recovery procedures and scripting
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven experience in infrastructure technology management
  • Proficiencies in project management and technical knowledge
  • A continuous learner that stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology
