We are recruiting for a General Assistant. The role is part-time, on a temporary 8-hour contract to cover the summer period, with a 12-week contract.

The general assistant's role is to go above and beyond to provide an exceptional shopping experience for our customers through merchandising, stock management, and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Serving customers at manned or self-scan checkouts, providing excellent customer service.
- Merchandising, ordering, date checking, and stock rotation across all store areas, including fresh, ambient, and frozen goods.
- Following company policies and health and safety procedures to protect yourself, customers, colleagues, and third parties.
- Maintaining high standards of work in all tasks.
- Preparing for stock takes and counting as required.

The ideal candidate will have/are:
- No prior Deli or retail experience is necessary; full training will be provided.
- A positive attitude, who works well in a team, and is eager to learn and develop new skills.
- GCSE Maths and English, Grade C or above (or equivalent), and/or at least 6 months of experience in retail or customer service.
- Experience working in a team environment.
