An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Assistant Design Manager to join a main contractor on a landmark residential led regeneration scheme in East London. This high-profile development includes nearly 200 build-to-rent apartments across two high-rise towers, along with commercial space and shared resident amenities. The project forms part of a wider regeneration of the town centre, offering the successful candidate invaluable exposure to complex urban residential delivery.
Role Overview:
Working closely with the Design Manager and site team, you’ll support the coordination of design information across all disciplines, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and compliance throughout the build.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with managing the flow of design information between consultants, subcontractors, and the construction team
- Help review drawings, specifications, and technical submissions
- Maintain drawing registers, issue logs, and support with document control
- Support in resolving design-related queries on site
Requirements:
- 1-2 years’ experience in a design or technical role within construction
- Background in residential projects, ideally including RC frame or high-rise schemes
- Degree in Architecture / Construction Management
