SIG Plc. is a leading supplier of specialist building materials to trade customers across Europe with strong positions in its core markets as a specialist distributor of insulation and interiors products and as a merchant of roofing and exteriors products.

We are currently looking to recruit a Product & Pricing Administrator who will be responsible for the product data held on both the ERP system and the process around enhancing data. This product lifecycle will start with approval and creation of new Products and SKUs, move through enrichment of key product data and extend into the gathering and management of digital assets and categorisation within the UK and Group analysis and technical product hierarchies.

What does the role involve?

  • Be responsible for the lifecycle of products in aligned product areas, from the creation of branch product request and new range on-boarding, to mass uploads of new catalogues and supplier data.
  • Be responsible for the product data created, from minimum required transactional standards, up to complete enrichment of product data.
  • Build manufacturer and supplier contact relationships to gather product data, preferably in electronic data format, to enrich product data in the PIM system.
  • Utilise online research techniques to identify and enrich product data in the PIM system.
  • Ensure Data Quality KPIs are met within specialist area, and collectively across Product Data Team.
  • Provide support to the Branch network for any product related issues preventing completion of orders.
  • Source pricing information from internal and external contacts.
  • Calculate pricing to be loaded and implement within the ERP system.

The successful candidate will require:

  • The ability to conduct online research to identify product data.
  • The ability to build relationships with external contacts within supplier and manufacturer businesses to gather product/pricing data.
  • An understanding of basic data quality principles and value of good data and what good looks like.
  • Knowledge of how categorisation and hierarchy of data is used to catalogue products.
  • Basic technical ability with IT systems e.g. databases and user interfaces.
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • Customer Service skills.
