The Role

The Chilled Coding Administrator is responsible for training new administrators, taking and closing all work orders, labelling, and providing administrative support to the Chilled Coding and Production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training new administrators.
  • Taking orders.
  • Creating internet labels for dispatch and printing labels for chilled coding.
  • Completing additional paperwork as and when required.
  • Working with the Unity System to close out all chilled coding production orders.
  • Monitoring the chilled final pack stock.
  • Monitoring emails from the commercial and buying departments and updating the chilled coding manager as and when required.
  • Checking all EDI orders received match our customers' web portals.
  • Assisting factory management, chargehands, supervisors and managers as and when required.
  • Always adhere to company policies including the personal hygiene policy, using correct manual handling techniques, and always wearing the correct PPE.
  • Support and actively promote brand integrity and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by ensuring there is engagement and communication between teams, customers and suppliers that continually drives improvement.
  • Assist and/or work in other areas/departments as and when required when asked to do so by a manager, senior manager, or company director.

Skills/Personal Attributes:

  • Thrive on working in a fast paced, high pressured environment with a passion for delivering results and the drive to exceed expectations.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail.
  • Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of English (written, verbal and reading).
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft packages (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a professional approach and attitude.
  • Experience of Microsoft Word and Excel, and proficient computer skills would be advantageous.

Hours of Work:

Normal contractual hours of work are 48 per week. You will normally work an eight-day shift pattern, working four consecutive shifts of 12 hours per day, from 05.00-17.00 or 07.00-19.00 followed by four consecutive days off. However, your working times may vary and will depend on the demands of the role and the needs of the business. This role may feature hybrid working, allowing Chilled Coding Administrators to work from home and/or from the factory.
