This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and is comfortable working at both an operational and strategic level.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full accounting cycle for the holding entity, overseeing financial reporting and internal controls across our portfolio of companies, including joint venture accounting.
  • Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of the holding and operating companies, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and banking.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of the draft closing timetable and alignment with the CFO and relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor intercompany transactions and investment flows across operating companies, supervise the recharging of costs to other group companies and third parties, and review monthly reconciliations accordingly.
  • Take overall responsibility for the companies’ trial balances, ensuring all accounts are properly maintained and reconciled (coordinating with other Finance teams to reconcile accounts under their remit).
  • Supervise invoicing (including accruals) and review monthly reconciliations for the Budget & Control teams.
  • Manage the statutory audit process with external auditors, ensuring all queries are addressed promptly.
  • Prepare relevant financial information (e.g. trial balances and ad hoc analyses) for entities within the CCUS holding organisation, including accounts prepared in accordance with statutory and corporate accounting principles as directed by shareholders.
  • Act as the process owner for the SAP finance module.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of finance procedures, ensuring compliance with the internal control framework.
  • Deputise for the CFO when required.
  • Manage the appraisal, training, and career development of direct reports, as well as staff recruitment under the CFO’s supervision.
  • Ensure full compliance with the Company’s Code of Ethics, Compliance Model and Organisational, Management and Control Model principles.

Skills and experience required:

  • Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Management or equivalent discipline.
  • Member of a recognised professional accounting body (e.g. CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Extensive relevant experience in accounting, ideally combining audit or advisory (e.g. Big Four) with industry experience in a holding, private equity or investment company structure.

  • Flexible, proactive and able to perform under pressure and shifting priorities.
  • Comfortable working in multicultural environments.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) skills and interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Flexible to work overtime to meet business requirements (e.g. quarterly/month-end closing).
  • Fluent level of English.
