Our Production team based in Slough is looking for Operations Technician Apprentices to join us this summer. Whether you're a school leaver or seeking to retrain into a new career, this role offers the opportunity to learn from experts and rotate through various production processes, including manufacturing, assembly, testing, overhauling, and repairing dry gas seals. You will gain hands-on experience in our Machine and Lapping workshops and work on a mini project using Lean methodologies. The role is based at our Slough site, working Monday to Friday during normal office hours.

Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to):- Operate and maintain lapping and CNC machines for precision components
- Masking, grooving, and spin testing of Mating Rings
- Perform measurements using specialised tools and equipment
- Interpret technical drawings and work instructions
- Safely assemble and test dry gas seals
- Install and set up seals into test rigs
- Assist in preparing drawings for assembly/disassembly
- Read instrumentation and record data accurately
This Level 2 Apprenticeship includes studying with Newbury College towards The Engineering Operative Apprenticeship standard, resulting in a Level 2 diploma in Engineering Operations. Opportunities for progression to higher apprenticeships may be available.
Qualifications:- Math & English GCSE at Grade 4 or above, or working towards Functional Skills in these areas
- Technical and mechanical aptitude
- Enjoy working with hands to build, test, or repair
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to plan and meet deadlines
