We are looking for a Field Account Manager covering the high profile London territory. The successful applicant will be expected to prospect and grow the existing business from our Lab Essentials portfolio (LPS).
Are you a dynamic professional with a scientific background and an aptitude for sales? Do you thrive on meeting targets and exceeding expectations? We are looking for an Account Manager for our Sales department at Sartorius. In this role, you will be responsible for commercial activities, managing a number of key accounts for the Laboratory Products Services division and drive sales growth. You will be responsible for a portfolio of Sartorius laboratory equipment i.e.: lab balances, lab water purification systems, lab filtration and microbiology testing and pipetting and dispensing solutions.
Your territory will cover the London area and will be based from home ideally living in London, whilst typically visiting customers on site 4 days per week.
Grow With Us – Your Responsibilities- Proactively managing and building long-term relationships with a range of accounts within the life science sector to improve quality and save customers time and money
- Expand your networks and selling/upselling additional products and services
- Promoting precision laboratory balances, ultrapure water systems, microbiology products, laboratory filtration products and micro pipettes
- Leading price and contract negotiations
- Working alongside channel partners to assist them in promoting Sartorius
- Working closely with decision makers at all levels and across all functions
- Developing product servicing by providing accurate product information, training and support when needed
- Organising demonstrations, exhibitions, seminars and informational sessions
- Working closely with wider sales and support teams
- Maintaining accurate customer information and all documentation on the system
- Utilising all available sales tools to maximise sales efficiency (Salesforce, LinkedIn)
- Carrying out business reviews with sales management
- BSc degree in life sciences or biology/biomedical sciences or equivalent would be preferred
- Demonstrated sales experience in biotech/pharma industry with some laboratory-based experience
- Focused on meeting targets and deadlines
- Strong customer focus with great communication and negotiation skills
- Have excellent record management skills, use of CRM would be advantageous
- Creative thinker when it comes to problem solving, self-motivated and results oriented
- Persistent, ability to prioritise and work in a fast-paced environment and embrace change
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to work as part of a cross functional team
- Willingness to travel
