The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.
We are delighted to have the opportunity to welcome new EPs to our friendly, well regarded and collaborative team, working within our SEND service in Cambridgeshire. We are looking for EPs to work with us on a permanent basis, and welcome applications from EPs looking to work full-time or part-time. We welcome full-time and part-time applicants from those in year 2 and 3 of their doctoral EP training. We would also welcome applications from locum EPs who are looking to explore opportunities to rejoin an LA team.
You will be part of one of our teams based across the county (currently in Wisbech, Huntingdon, Ely and Cambridge) and will work alongside Specialist Teachers and Specialist SEND Practitioners in a multi-disciplinary team. Appointment to this post will be subject to the outcome of an Enhanced Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service. The Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
As an autonomous member of our team, you will be applying a range of psychological theories and tools in your work with schools and other settings, working closely with families, and colleagues from other teams and disciplines to provide a holistic and co-ordinated response to need. Our work reflects our strong beliefs and commitment to evidence-based practice, social justice, inclusion, the active involvement of children and their families and working closely with schools, communities and other partners. We are committed to Cambridgeshire's Inclusion for All approach, and play a key role in promoting this initiative.
You will have your own patch of schools and will be working in one area of the county and contributing to key service developments, strategy and project work. You will be working for a service with a proven track record for developing innovative practice. We have maintained a model of service delivery which is free to our schools and enables us to work creatively, build up strong relationships with our schools and offer early intervention.
You will have the opportunity to engage in community and systems work, and pursue your interests. There is also no obligation to write non-statutory reports. EPs receive high quality regular individual and peer supervision. We cover HCPC fees. We are committed to providing excellent opportunities for continuous professional development. We have dedicated time for therapeutic support including Video Interaction Guidance (VIG) and exciting project work, such as Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) training, developing Enhanced Resourced Bases (ERBs) in primary schools, and developing an Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA) toolkit. We are the Eastern Region Autism Education Trust (AET) Hub for schools and post 16 settings. We work with the Virtual School to deliver an innovative trauma-informed tiered training package called Recovery Through Relationships.
You will need to have a first degree in Psychology, recognised by the BPS, a post-graduate qualification in Educational Psychology and be registered with the HCPC. The closing date for applications is 16th July 2025. Interviews will be held on the 23rd July 2025.
