We’re looking for a motivated and knowledgeable individual with expertise in Exercise Science who can inspire students through engaging, high-quality teaching. Whether your background is in academia or professional practice, we value your experience and will support you in developing your own research or applied interests within a collaborative and supportive environment.

In order to be successful in this role you should have:

  • A relevant degree in Sport & Exercise Science or Sport Therapy, or related field
  • A post graduate qualification relevant to the exercise science
  • A Higher Education teaching qualification and/or an HEA Fellowship, or willingness to undertake this within the first 12 months
  • Professional experience of working in areas relevant to exercise rehabilitation, prehabilitation and/or clinical exercise physiology.
  • Chartered Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (CASES) accreditation
  • Understanding of academic and award standards and the range and level of knowledge and skills, both subject-specific and generic, which the programme is intended to foster.
  • Experience of leading and implementing creative approaches to developing teaching and learning.

If you have a PhD or Doctorate and can supervise at this level, you will have opportunities to develop as the university has an active programme for supporting early career researchers.
