This role is key within the wider Architectural Services consultancy.
This is a great opportunity to join the growing Architectural Service and lead a skilled team through the challenges we must navigate to reduce child poverty, tackle climate change to reach net zero, and build resilient, empowered communities. This role will contribute significantly by facilitating decarbonisation of the existing portfolio and investigating and implementing the expansion of large-scale heat networks in the city as part of Dundee's ambitious Local Area Energy Plan.

Job Description
Working in a hybrid style, based at home and Dundee House office, you will work full time, 37 hours per week.
Requirements
You will be an Incorporated Engineer with Membership CIBSE with a willingness to work toward Chartered Engineer with Membership of CIBSE.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of mechanical services (advice, design, project administration and maintenance) to the Council and its service departments and to external agencies. Supporting the efforts of the Council to deliver the city's Local Area Energy Plan, you will aid in the delivery of asset decarbonisation through expansion of heat networks. The post holder will also be responsible for the leadership and co-ordination of a team/s of professional/technical staff in relation to the management of the policies and procedures of the Department.
The Individual
You will have relevant experience of the design and implementation of architectural/building construction projects, experience of management of projects and staff, AutoCAD skills and project management including budgeting processes along with experience of partnering, project programming, of JCT forms of contract, understanding of CDM 2015 regulations and its application and working knowledge of Microsoft Packages, including Office 365, Teams, Word, Excel. Effective time management skills to achieve project objectives, good negotiating skills at all levels with the ability to work with people in other professional disciplines and deal directly with clients are essential. You will have up to date knowledge of technical standards and statutory requirements along with presentation skills.
