As a Transport Planner you’ll take charge of our regional transport function and ensure it runs like clockwork. You’ll be the immediate line manager for our drivers, allocating work; delivering instructions; monitoring their progress; and checking that everything’s been completed at the end of the day. You’ll also handle any grievance or disciplinary matters. Excellence will be as important to you as it is to us, so you’ll be exacting when it comes to ensuring that vehicles are maintained and that driver checks are carried out properly. In fact, you’ll strive for constant general improvement and increased profitability.
As an experienced supervisor, you’ll be used to managing people, keeping accurate records and dealing with queries and problems. Some knowledge of the Waste or Transport industry is also needed, along with good numerical skills.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Ideally, you’ll have a National CPC and the ability to use Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication (in person and on paper) skills.
- A friendly, approachable manner; and great teamwork skills.
- A full driving licence is essential.
