We are delighted to be partnering Newcastle International Airport to recruit the newly created role of Talent Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join an admired North East business with an exciting vision and strategy for growth, to play a key role in a forward looking HR agenda and strategy that will enable the success of the organisation and its people.
Newcastle International Airport is a multiple award winning Airport serving over 5 million passengers every year and supporting approximately 3000 jobs across a large and complex site. It serves over 80 destinations across 18 airlines including British Airways, Easyjet, Jet2, Air France, KLM, Emirates and Lufthansa. The Airport is at the heart of the North East's economy, it is owned by the 7 Local Authorities in the Region along with InfraBridge, a private equity infrastructure investor, both shareholders are highly supportive of the business and support its growth plans.
This is a broad role encompassing Management Development, Training, Early Careers and Talent Management. Working closely with the Chief People Officer, the Talent Manager will lead on succession planning and building internal pipelines for future roles. You will also touch upon Talent Acquisition with regards to streamlining recruitment processes, leading on Early Careers (including apprenticeship programmes) and EDI will also be a part of your role.
We are seeking candidates with HR/L&D/Talent experience ideally from a customer focused organisation, and a regulated environment would be great. Experience of LMS systems is a definite advantage and some training delivery experience ideally with People Management topics would be advantageous. The airport is a busy and growing organisation so you need to be a go-getter and be passionate and driven within your expertise.
The role is based at Newcastle Airport and is hybrid – 4 days on site. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a brilliant CPO in a North East business that has customer experience and CSR at its heart.
