We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Research (OR) Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, modelling, and implementation of optimisation, simulation, and analytics solutions to drive better business decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and drive operational efficiency.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement mathematical models (optimisation, simulation, statistical) to support business processes and decision-making.
- Assist in the development of algorithms for logistics, scheduling, inventory management, and resource allocation problems.
- Use software tools like Python, SQL, OR-Tools, and similar to build and test models.
- Analyse results, identify trends, and prepare detailed reports and visualisations for stakeholders.
- Support the Senior OR Engineers in research, model validation, and implementation projects.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, methods, and technologies in operations research and analytics.
- Communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Master’s degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field (required).
- Solid understanding of operations research techniques such as optimisation (linear, integer, nonlinear), simulation, graph theory, and statistical analysis.
- Programming skills in Python, Java, or C++.
- Experience with optimisation libraries (e.g., OR-Tools, PuLP, Gurobi, CPLEX).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multinational team environment.
- 1–2 years of professional experience applying operations research methods to real-world problems (academic research or industry experience).
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques is a plus.
- Experience with data visualisation tools like Tableau, Streamlit, or similar.
