En Route International, with offices in UK, US, UAE and Australia, is a leading business services group providing bakery and catering solutions to the travel industry. The company is part of the Emirates/dnata group, headquartered in Dubai UAE. Forecast to turnover £70m this financial year, the business is growing rapidly and needs experienced and passionate people to help the business hit its £200m revenue target in the coming years.
The Financial Accountant will support the Finance department by leading all statutory accounting and reporting aspects of the En Route Group. The Financial Accountant will report into the Head of Financial Control and Governance.
Key objectives:- Responsible for Financial reporting, including preparing financial statements for the UK and 5 international entities
- Overseeing and managing day to day tax affairs (direct and indirect) in all En Route entities, including computations where necessary
- Managing and coordinating other local compliance obligations for all En Route entities and related intercompany journals, transfer pricing and FX entries
- Key support in the preparation and production of statutory accounts (UK Company and Group)
- Responsible for managing the annual audit process for the UK entity and overseas units as required
- Owning the accounting system and any structural updates to the Chart of accounts or Business Central
- Supporting improved cash flow processes, and ongoing cash forecasting for all entities
- Supporting the development of monthly and quarterly rolling forecast process from for balance sheet, cash flow and working capital assumptions
- Drive improved efficiency & accuracy in reporting through process improvements
- Assist with implementing and maintaining internal controls, processes and procedures
- Provision of ad hoc financial and management information to support management decision making
- Undertake any other duties as required by management, commensurate with the grade of the post
- Audit and financial reporting to ensure financial records are accurate and comply with statutory regulations
- Creating efficient methods for accounting and financial record-keeping
- Adhering to local compliance regulations with local, state, and federal laws
- Maintenance of the fixed asset register
- Owning the balance sheet and ensuring complete accuracy over accruals and prepayments
- Stock reporting and stock management (balance sheet)

- Advanced IT skills, particularly Microsoft suite (including Excel, Dynamics, Power BI)
- Use of Business Central highly preferable
- Strong technical and management accounting skills
- Understanding of inventory accounting
- Ability to present and articulate complex financial information simply and concisely
- Highly organised and able to hit the ground running
- Flexible mindset and prepared to ‘get stuck in’
- Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision making
- Excellent written and oral English skills
