Role Purpose
The role's purpose is to lead the EAP team, ensuring optimal performance and motivation. It involves driving continuous improvement, developing automotive components, and coordinating technical discussions and development projects with customers. Additionally, the role supports Key Account Managers (KAM) and CAD/CAE engineers, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and efficient production processes.
You will work on:
- Lead and manage the EAP team daily, providing supervisory direction and development to ensure team members utilize their full potential and are motivated to achieve set goals.
- Define and follow up on performance evaluations and development plans, guarantee effective knowledge transfer among employees, and organize and manage resources for continuous improvement projects.
- Line responsibility for Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) in own area.
- Follow up on goals and policies.
- Follow up and start up of activities given from Sales director automotive.
- Strive for and change for optimal and effective internal processes.
- Develop extrusion-based assembly and components together with automotive OEM or other customers within the automotive industry.
- Lead technical customer discussions.
- Support Key Account Managers (KAM) and plants with fast shot estimates.
- Support with input for process layout for feasible and cost-efficient production.
- Coordinate Engineering Change Requests (ECR) in development projects together with KAM.
- Close collaboration with KAM team.
- Support KAM in technical discussions.
- Compliance with area-specific customer requirements.
Your Qualifications And Skills:
- 3 years of department leadership experience, in international settings.
- Relevant experiences in the automotive area in Europe.
- Fluent in German and English is mandatory. Any other language is a plus.
- User in CAD.
- Adaptability and flexibility in dynamic environments.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Stakeholder management, collaboration, and political competence.
- Understanding of technical aspects in car architecture, including Body-in-White (BIW) and Crash management system (CMS).
- Proficiency in discussing components and assembly design, and evaluating feasibility.
- Capability to lead discussions with customers regarding technical development projects.
- Comprehension of customer requirements.
