We are looking for an NPD Manager to join an industry leading baker of a variety of delicious treats and cakes. You will be accountable for driving new ideas from concept to launch, along with managing the NPD process that ensures all new products launch on time and in full. Along with this, you will be managing the department, ensuring the right resources and structures are in place to help deliver the overall company strategic plans.
Key accountabilities as NPD Manager:
- Driving innovation using available market data, category and trend knowledge for new product ideas and for ongoing continuous improvement of existing products and processes.
- Challenging and advising on new briefs and working closely with customers to steer projects in line with consumer driven insights to maximise in-market success.
- Keeping abreast of competitor activity.
- Building and delivering a pipeline of NPD & innovation which provides future growth opportunities for existing and new potential customers.
- Implementing and enforcing a process that ensures products are launched on time and in full.
- Applying critical paths that meet all internal check points and adhere to company procedures and customer requirements.
- Ensuring all new products are developed in line with the company and customers financial hurdles to drive positive financial growth for all.
- Creating and building strong supplier relations to support great NPD through new ideas, troubleshooting issues and effective timeline delivery.
- Being the go-to contact in NPD for existing customers and creating and developing new relationships where possible, to drive company opportunities.
- Building and developing the team. Ensuring the right people are in the right roles to achieve business objectives. Setting and reviewing KPIs, giving feedback and carrying out performance management, coaching and development as required.
