Are you an inspiring educator looking for a part-time teaching opportunity in a values-driven, nurturing school? Come and join Avanti Brook Primary as we look to appoint a Part-Time Class Teacher to join our dedicated team. You will cover PPA across the school, initially teaching across Pre-School, Reception along with years 1 and 2. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on pupils' learning and development and playing a significant part in their learning journey.

As a teacher at Avanti, you will be expected to uphold the highest standards of teaching and conduct, nurture strong relationships with pupils and colleagues, and contribute positively to the wider school. Please Note: You will be based at either Avanti Meadows or Avanti Brook and you may be required to support both schools, to share best practice and assist the continued growth and success of the Bishop's Stortford North learning village. This is a fixed-term contract until 31st August 2026 and is a part-time position working 16.25 hours per week.

Avanti Brook is a brand-new, state-of-the-art primary school in Bishop's Stortford. Surrounded by fields and new housing estates, the school is a centre for the new community developing in the north of Bishop's Stortford. It's the first carbon neutral school in Hertfordshire.

What will you do?
  • Deliver the curriculum, prepare teaching materials, and ensure high standards of literacy and student progress.
  • Establish a safe and stimulating environment, manage classroom behaviour, and promote student well-being.
  • Use assessment data to monitor student progress, set targets, and plan lessons.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, participate in professional development, and communicate effectively with parents and external bodies.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of students, ensuring compliance with school policies and protocols.
