The New Beacon is a leading day and boarding prep school for boys aged 3-13, with a co-educational nursery, renowned for its commitment to excellence in education, sport and the arts. We pride ourselves on providing an engaging, inspiring, and nurturing environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors. Set in 22 acres of woodland, the School benefits from excellent facilities including a swimming pool, sports centre, forest school, floodlit astroturf pitch, music school and theatre. Weekly boarding is available for all pupils from Year 5 to Year 8, complementing the extended day provision and encouraging boys to develop their independence as they progress through School.

In August 2021, The New Beacon merged with Tonbridge School, marking an exciting new chapter in the School's history and providing opportunities for collaboration and innovation across both institutions. The Head and Governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and dynamic Operations Manager to play a key role in the efficient and effective running of the School's non-educational operations.

Reporting to the Operations Director, the Operations Manager is based at The New Beacon, ensuring its daily operational needs are met with excellence and efficiency. The Operations Manager will provide leadership to a dedicated team of on-site support staff, ensuring the seamless delivery of essential services across estates and facilities management, health and safety, security, transport, support for School administration, and procurement. They will be responsible for driving operational efficiencies, maintaining the highest standards of service, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the School.

The ideal candidate will be a highly organised and solutions-focused leader, with experience in operations management. They will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, the ability to build strong working relationships, and a proactive approach to managing challenges. This is a rare opportunity to join a well-regarded institution and make a significant impact on its future. This is a full-time, all-year-round position.
