An opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse and Packing Operative based in Tilbury, Essex. The main duties of this role are to adhere to and promote safety and health for yourself and others in accordance with site, corporate, and UK legislation. Operate carousel packers, palletisers, and shrink wrappers. Mix flour and ingredients via a rip and tip area. Drive a forklift truck for moving products around the site and loading/unloading vehicles. Perform cleaning and hygiene duties.
Your Responsibilities
- Operate packing machines efficiently, aiming to outperform set targets.
- Ensure stock rotation.
- Report plant faults for maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records for performance and hygiene.
- Undertake necessary training.
- Follow Health and Safety guidelines and legislation.
- Ensure product safety through careful process and handling.
- Maintain cleanliness ('clean as you go').
- Operate forklifts within legislation.
- Maintain document control and records.
- Be flexible in work approach; supervisory tasks may be required.
- Manage weighbridge operations if needed.
Your Profile
- Valid Counter Balance Forklift License.
- Experience with shunter vehicles.
- Manual handling and food safety training.
- Health and Safety awareness.
- Ability to lift 16-25kg regularly.
- Stand for up to 4 hours.
- Qualified to operate FLT.
