We are now expanding our team of Temporary Production Assistants during the summer period from July to September 2025. You will be provided with essential training for this position and will work 12-hour shifts from 7pm to 7am on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. This position provides you with essential training to work with high tech products in a cleanroom environment and you will receive a base salary of £24,511 (pro-rated) plus a shift allowance of 50% in addition to your base pay.
What our Production Assistants do
You will become part of a large team crucial in the manufacturing of semiconductor devices in a high-volume, high-tech wafer fabrication area. With training you will follow written instructions in operating sophisticated equipment in a clean room environment to produce our finished silicon microchips. Nexperia’s chips are used in everyday products such as mobile phones, home appliances, smart wearables, Electric Vehicles and more.
- Work a night shift pattern of 12 hours starting at 7pm and finishing at 7am (4 nights on and 4 nights off)
- Ensure you are fully available to work from 13.07.2025 to 02.09.2025 or 17.07.2025 to 06.09.2025
- Work towards a daily primary task list with the support of your team leader
- Learn a wide range of workflows throughout your specialist area
- Learn how to work with high tech equipment with tasks including producing a required volume of wafers per hour
- Adhere to production change proposals, whilst conforming to all cleanroom working & safety practices
- Complete related documentation and enter transactions on FactoryWorks systems
What our Production Assistants Need
Essential Requirements:
- Candidates must have full ability to work day time shifts from 7pm-7am, on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern from 13.07.2025 to 02.09.2025 or 17.07.2025 to 06.09.2025
- Clear communication skills both written and verbal in English
- Methodical thinking with excellent attention to detail
- Team working ability and a proactive mindset
- Basic computer knowledge
- Excellent time management and attendance
- Ability to work towards set targets
- The right to work within the UK without the need for sponsorship
Beneficial requirements:
- Prior experience in working within a production or factory setting
- Prior cleanroom experience
- Mechanical or technical experience with machines or tools
- Experience of shift work
