We are recruiting an IT Trainer to work in the firm's IT Training Team, part of the Knowledge and Learning Department and based in our London office. This role will work closely with legal and business services groups, collaborating with colleagues in Knowledge and Learning, Technology and various other stakeholders across the firm. The successful candidate will have significant experience of running a variety of IT training courses in a professional services (preferably legal) setting and of supporting the IT training aspects of key technology projects. They will also have an interest in generating creative IT learning solutions and an innovative, can-do mindset.
Our broader L&D team provides a comprehensive learning offering, including legal, commercial and business skills training, coaching and mentoring as well as leadership development for the firm's legal and business services populations. Crucial to the continued delivery of our best-in-class training has been the team's ability to foster our culture of training excellence via ever more creative delivery methods, digital platforms and innovative solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Run new joiner IT Training for all new members of the firm.
- Support the IT Training Team in the rollout of their broader learning curriculum.
- Act as a subject matter expert on all Microsoft 365 applications as well as legal applications (including some or all of Carpe Diem, iManage, Elite 3E, Dynamics and PDF Docs).
- Support on the training aspects of the rollout of new technology projects.
- Provide 1:1 IT training support to all members of the firm where requested.
- Generate and update all IT Training materials (e.g. session plans, user guides, videos and other interactive content).
- Use instructional design best practices, AI tools, graphic design, e-learning and video production skills to create engaging and inclusive IT training and digital learning content.
- Assist with other IT Training Team projects as required.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Have a technology or instructional design background with at least 5 years' IT training experience in a legal or professional services setting providing classroom, virtual (Teams) and hybrid IT training.
- Have experience rolling out a full suite of Microsoft 365 and related products.
- Have a solid track record in creating innovative and accessible IT and digital learning experiences including e-learning.
- Have some experience of digital learning tools (e.g. Articulate Storyline, Articulate 360, Adobe and others). Digital learning and/or software qualifications would be a plus.
- Have experience using an LMS.
- Be a proactive self-starter.
- Have experience managing multiple stakeholders/deliverables within a tight timeframe to deliver high quality work.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written, spoken and presentational.
- Be a team player with experience of working in a diverse team whilst fostering an inclusive team culture.
