Royal Voluntary Service has an opportunity available for an experienced Digital Marketing Lead to join our team. You will join us on a full-time, 12 month fixed term contract, and in return, you will receive a salary from £48,964 to £55,959 per annum depending on experience.
About the Digital Marketing Lead role: RVS is developing a game-changing new digital platform to boost volunteering in Britain — made possible thanks to £5 million in funding from players of People’s Postcode Lottery. Research suggests that up to 140 million corporate volunteering hours per year could be unlocked if flexible, digital access to opportunities was available. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the overall digital marketing plan for Royal Voluntary Service and its associated digital volunteering platform and marketplace, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s strategic goals and objectives.
This is a senior leadership role that will oversee all digital marketing activities across various channels, focusing on brand development, customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. The Digital Marketing Lead will oversee content production and collaborate cross-functionally with other teams including web, comms, social media, sales, product and marketing, to drive business growth and enhance the customer experience. This role will have direct oversight of the digital marketing strategy, budget management, performance metrics, and the execution of digital marketing campaigns, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Hours: 35 hours per week
Location: UK based remote with occasional national travel

What you'll bring as our Digital Marketing Lead:
Knowledge:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing, Communications) or extensive experience (minimum 5 years) in a senior digital marketing role.
- Proven experience in digital marketing management roles, ideally in B2B SaaS or platform businesses.
- Strong grasp of performance marketing, demand generation, SEO/SEM, content strategy and analytics.
- In-depth knowledge of digital marketing, social media, content marketing, and traditional marketing channels.
- Strong understanding of brand development and positioning.
- Experience with marketing analytics and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, email automation platforms – HubSpot, social media insights, CRM software).
- Knowledge of customer segmentation and targeting strategies.
- Awareness of industry trends and competitor activities.
- Familiarity with SEO/SEM strategies and best practices.

Experience:
- Significant experience in senior marketing roles, including strategic planning, execution, and team management.
- Proven track record of successfully leading marketing campaigns and driving brand awareness.
- Experience in managing and optimising marketing budgets.
- Experience of working with cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives.
- Experience in managing external agencies and contractors.
- Experience in creating and delivering presentations to senior stakeholders and external partners.
