GCP Architect - London, UK

Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, implement, and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform for GCP environments. Ensure configurations are scalable, reliable, and follow best practices.
• GCP Platform Management: Architect and manage GCP environments, including compute, storage, and networking. Collaborate with teams to understand requirements and provide scalable solutions. Work with data scientists and AI specialists to integrate and optimize solutions using Vertex AI, including managing machine learning pipelines and models.
• BigQuery Storage: Design and optimize data storage solutions, collaborating with data engineers and analysts for efficient data processing.
• Wiz Security Control Integration: Integrate and configure Wiz Security Control for security monitoring and compliance, working with security teams to enhance controls.
• Automation and Tooling: Develop automation solutions for monitoring, scaling, and managing GCP resources. Maintain scripts and tools to streamline operations.
• Security and Compliance: Apply security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and compliance checks. Perform regular security assessments and audits.

Requirements:

• Bachelor\’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, preferably from a tiered school.
• GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification or similar is highly desirable.
• Proven experience with IaC using Terraform in GCP.
• Hands-on experience with Vertex AI and BigQuery.
• Experience with Wiz Security Control integration.
• In-depth knowledge of GCP services like Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, and IAM.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash, and automation tools.
• Strong understanding of GCP security and compliance standards.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
