The Role
As a Senior Mission Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the efficient, safe, and effective conduct of evaluation, test, and trials activities within Aerospace Engineering. Day-to-day, you’ll conduct these activities on a wide variety of operational systems such as Complex Electronic Hardware, Communications, Navigation & Identification, Displays, and Mission Systems working on different aircraft platforms.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing specialist advice in Air platform certification, qualification, performance, and operability domains
- Working across different aircraft platforms ranging from Combat aircraft, Helicopters, Large Transport/Reconnaissance to Unmanned air platforms
- Influencing decisions using advice, counselling, and facilitating services
- Conducting evaluation, test, and trial activities across various operational systems safely and effectively
Essential experience of the Senior Mission Systems Engineer:
- Experience working in or knowledge of Aircraft/Air Platform certification and qualification
- Knowledge of Aircraft/Air Platform regulatory & legal compliance with safety regulations and standards
- Experience in Aerospace engineering with a proven track record
- Knowledge of safety techniques, processes, methods, and tools in military or civil domains
Essential qualifications for the Senior Mission Systems Engineer:
- A Technical Degree (Science or Engineering) or relevant technical experience
This role is 37 hours per week, based at any of our main UK locations, with hybrid working options available.
