Reliance is a UK leader in delivering advanced security solutions to high-compliance, mission-critical environments. As part of our continued investment in the data centre sector, we’re now looking for a strategic and results-driven Business Development Manager to accelerate our growth across the hyperscale and colocation space in EMEA.
This is a unique opportunity to join an established and credible business that already has a footprint in the data centre sector — and help us build on that success. You’ll focus on identifying new opportunities, securing major contracts, and deepening our presence within this fast-evolving, high-growth vertical. You’ll work alongside dedicated internal teams covering design, engineering, and project delivery, allowing you to focus on what you do best: building relationships, positioning value, and winning business.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Accelerating new business acquisition within the hyperscale and colocation data centre markets across EMEA
- Taking ownership of the full business development cycle — from strategic targeting to onboarding new clients
- Partnering with an experienced internal team, freeing you to concentrate on pipeline development and client engagement
- Shaping and supporting Reliance’s broader strategy for growth in the data centre sector
- Engaging across the full lifecycle of key accounts, from first contact through to long-term development
- Operating in high-compliance, mission-critical environments where security and data integrity are paramount
- Contributing to high-value bids with strong internal backing and resources
- Representing an agile, trusted integrator with the scale and expertise to win complex opportunities
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and deliver a structured business development plan across EMEA data centre markets
- Identify and qualify new clients and projects, building a strong and sustainable sales pipeline
- Achieve revenue, margin, and activity targets through focused execution
- Build trusted relationships with end-users, consultants, M&E contractors, and technology partners
- Lead proposal submissions in collaboration with technical and commercial teams
- Maintain CRM discipline and ensure accurate, timely forecasting
- Monitor market activity and trends to refine and evolve our go-to-market approach
- Collaborate internally to ensure a seamless handover into delivery and ongoing support
What we’re looking for:
- A proven track record of business development in the data centre market, particularly with hyperscale and colocation providers
- Strong understanding of compliance, commercial, and operational drivers in this environment
- Experience working across EMEA markets
- Consultative sales approach with credibility at senior/board level
- Highly organised, with strong pipeline and forecast management
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
- Degree or equivalent
- Background in B2B security, IT, or technology
- Commercial and technical acumen around integrated security systems
Why join Reliance?
- A strategic opportunity in a high-growth, high-value vertical
- Clear internal support
- Active investment from senior leadership
- Competitive salary and performance-based incentives
- Supportive, expert-led team culture
- A chance to shape the future of security in one of the world’s most critical infrastructure sectors
Ready to help us go further in the data centre space? Apply now and be part of Reliance’s next phase of growth.
