Responsibilities Description of Role Our Life Safety and Security engineering team is central to our business. Multi-skilled across various technologies, our engineers have extensive knowledge and pride in their work. Reporting to the Lead Supervisor Engineer, this role includes mentored training and development, with opportunities for progression. As Safety & Security Engineer , you will be responsible for: Installing, commissioning, and servicing equipment including fire and intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, audio visual, public address, and voice alarm systems. Upgrading and extending existing systems as part of remedial works. Providing excellent customer service. Understanding site plans and surveys for installations. Completing documentation per company standards. Following strict health and safety guidelines. Advising customers on products and services to enhance efficiency. Key Accountabilities Delivering work effectively, on time, and to quality standards. Recording work using business systems and obtaining client sign-off. Ensuring site health and safety compliance and reporting issues. Maintaining high customer service standards and professional representation. Qualifications Knowledge, skills, and experience required: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexible, self-motivated, with knowledge of industry-standard manufacturers (e.g., Bosch, Hikvision, Gallagher). Experience in BAFE/SSAIB/NSI accredited companies. Skills include good communication, technical expertise, administrative skills, teamwork, project orientation, and commercial awareness. Certifications include a valid CSCS/ECS card, DBS clearance, IPAF/PASMA/asbestos awareness certifications, recent electrical qualifications, and a full UK driving license.
