Job Description
This role will support Abcam’s Regulatory Compliance Senior Specialist & Department Manager with authoring and maintaining product safety data sheets (SDS) and hazard data for product labels, in accordance with Global Harmonized System, REACH, and other relevant regulations. The role involves SDS updates, authoring new SDS, and responding to queries from global colleagues and customers.
Responsibilities
- Generate compliant SDS using Abcam’s SDS application, WERCS
- Maintain existing SDS, updating hazards and legislation as needed
- Support management of the team inbox for SDS requests and compliance inquiries
- Perform governance checks for antibody, protein, peptides & lysates portfolios
- Support the Regulatory Compliance Team
Strong knowledge of Excel and MS Office applications is required, along with experience handling large datasets. Attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential to resolve data queries efficiently. Ability to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment is important.
Familiarity with chemical regulations like EU CLP, GHS, REACH, and SDS authoring experience are advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Knowledge of WERCS or similar applications is also beneficial.
Qualifications
At least a degree in Chemistry, Life Science, or a related field is required.
