Job Responsibilities:

  • Verify that our innovative products meet safety, compliance, and environmental standards according to national requirements.
  • Complete self-initiated and assigned technical activities leading to regulatory compliance and address product responsibility issues concerning existing or new chemicals and articles for Finland, with support for Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.
  • Maintain product registrations such as the Finnish Chemical database.
  • Manage submissions related to Extended Producer Responsibility (packaging waste, WEEE, and Battery waste).
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers and within the EMEA Product Stewardship team to manage inquiries on regulatory aspects of 3M products, such as providing SDSs, SVHC information, and compositional data.
  • Translate phrases in Finnish for new Safety Data Sheet creation.
  • Support compliance improvement projects through the development of new processes and systems.
  • Monitor relevant emerging Finnish regulatory requirements and trends.
  • Participate in and potentially lead project teams.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
  • Awareness of product safety and chemical regulations, e.g., Finnish product regulations, CE marking, REACH, CLP, Packaging Waste, SVHCs.
  • Fluent in Finnish and English, both written and verbal; Swedish proficiency preferred.

Additional Skills:

  • Experience with IT systems like SAP, PLM.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to meet short deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Self-driven with a positive attitude and growth mindset.

  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to bring projects to completion.
