Salary: £24,000 (Prorated salary £11,393 per annum as this is a part time role)

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract – Part Time - 10 shifts per month – 864 hours per year

The Role

  • We are currently looking for Survey Interviewers for Heathrow Airport and candidates would have previous customer experience.
  • The role of Survey Interviewer is to collect information on the characteristics of air passengers through face-to-face interviews at airside locations:
  • To approach air passengers to seek their cooperation with the survey
  • To obtain accurate information from air passengers both on their journey and their personal details using a pre-set questionnaire
  • Use judgement to consider the answers given to questions and probe where these seem unusual or inconsistent and revise the recorded answer if appropriate.
  • Indicate on the questionnaire where it is believed that false information has been deliberately given
  • Maintain a strict systematic random sampling scheme to ensure integrity of survey results
  • Shift patterns would be between 6am and 10:30pm – this would largely depend on passenger numbers coming through the airport. Heathrow requires early starts of 6am so candidates should live within a commutable distance for shift times.
  • About You

    • Previous customer service experience and knowledge of the airport/aviation industry would be beneficial.
    • Previous experience with market research is advantageous but not essential.
    • Must be able to read, understand and speak English fluently, the ability to speak other languages would be an asset.
    • Experience of working autonomously and without supervision.

    Additional Information

    For many appointments within the CAA, these roles require access to operationally sensitive infrastructure and/or Nationally Protected information. For these roles the post holders must undergo National Security Vetting and achieve the appropriate level of clearance. To be vetted we will usually expect a reasonable period of residency in the UK so that meaningful checks can be undertaken. For this role this will need to be 3 years. If you do not meet these requirements, we may not be able to accept your application.
