We have a great opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Commercial. In this role, you will provide a professional pre-contract quantity surveying service, manage a team, and collaborate with stakeholders. You will be required to attend the office three days a week to promote face-to-face collaboration.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Manage the tendering process, including reviewing documents, preparing contract data, and issuing tender documents.
- Ensure commercial and regulatory compliance.
- Proactively manage and mitigate commercial risks.
- Negotiate on commercial terms when applicable.
- Provide support to the Pre Contract Managing Quantity Surveyor.
- Manage, coach, and develop Trainee and Assistant Quantity Surveyors.
- Attend site meetings as required.
Technical Skills & Experience:
- Experience in a construction environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of standard forms of construction contracts.
- Experience in tendering construction projects.
- Working knowledge of regulated procurement and contract law.
Qualifications:
- Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent experience.
- Achieved or working towards chartered membership of a relevant institution.
