EXCITING OPPORTUNITY FOR AN EXPERIENCED LITIGATION PARALEGAL TO MOVE IN-HOUSE PERMANENT LONDON BASED ROLE WITH HYBRID WORKING.

About Our Client

The role will require you to provide legal support across the business including their commercial, development, procurement and finance departments, with a focus on:

  • Litigation support - documentation management; project support; and assisting with disclosure.
  • Procurement support - managing legal support for the procurement of goods and services; negotiating T&Cs; and assisting in the preparation and review of requests for proposals (RFP) and requests for quotations (RFQ).
  • Assisting in drafting and negotiating various contracts such as non-disclosure agreements, terms of engagement and standard terms and conditions.

Your responsibilities will vary, but can be expected to include:

  • Working closely with stakeholders, both internally and externally, to ensure that risks are identified and mitigated.
  • Conducting legal research for other members of the legal and business teams.
  • Providing advice on contractual provisions and the effects of applicable laws and regulations.
  • Helping to ensure that business activities comply with company standards and policies, and are aligned to relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Creating and maintaining policies around contract approvals, template management and document retention.
  • Performing general administrative support for the legal team.

The Successful Applicant

  • Either a Bachelor's degree in law (or an equivalent degree); or a Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) or Postgraduate Diploma in Law (PGDL).
  • LPC or SQE would be desirable.
  • Previous experience of working in house or in a law firm on litigation transactions which, ideally, have included some form of disclosure exercise.
  • An interest in, and experience of, working in the power / renewable energy / infrastructure sectors would be desirable.
  • Previous experience of working in-house in a related company or sector would be an advantage but is not essential.
