Traffic Operator / Planner required to join a highly reputable UK road haulier and container transport specialist out of their Stanford-Le-Hope and Felixstowe sites. Our client has been established now for over 60 years and are able to offer a fleet capacity of more than 200 trucks out of their sites as well as in house driver support/education. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast paced/dynamic team, to further develop your career in the industry and to be offered excellent support along the way.
Traffic Operator Responsibilities:
- Route planning for container movements coming in and going out of the port
- Resource allocation (Correct trucks to jobs and correct drivers to trucks etc)
- Use of TOPS system, ensuring containers and trucks are loaded correctly
- Communicating regularly with Drivers throughout the shift
- Working collaboratively with other sites on a regular basis
- Incident management
- Monitoring of drivers hours and WTD
Traffic Operator Requirements:
- TOPS software experience (Essential)
- Previous experience of container truck planning
- VBS software experience (Advantageous)
- 2-3 years minimum working in a similar position
