USAF E7STS Aviation Services is hiring a Logistics Stock Controller to support its aircraft base maintenance operations at Birmingham Airport. This is a vital position within the USAF E7 programme, responsible for supervising goods receipt operations, coordinating stock control activities, and leading daily logistics functions across our Unit 9/10 complex.

Role Overview

The Logistics Stock Controller ensures the efficient movement, inspection, and coordination of parts and kits throughout the BHX site. This role provides leadership and direction to logistics personnel, manages key performance indicators, ensures compliance with SOPs, and supports the delivery of operational excellence across the Boeing and STS supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations of logistics personnel based at Unit 9/10
  • Liaise with the BHX main hangar logistics team to ensure seamless coordination
  • Enforce SOPs and ensure compliance with STS and Boeing logistics procedures
  • Attend planning and review meetings as required
  • Conduct and document internal logistics assurance checks
  • Deliver shift handovers and ensure timely response to all BHX logistics communications
  • Coordinate goods receipt processes including inspection of parts for certification, quantity, and condition
  • Manage movement of kits and parts between Unit 9/10 and BHX Main Hangar, both airside and non-airside
  • Operate and oversee Return to Stock (RTS) processes
  • Utilise Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and PROMRO for tracking and data entry
  • Generate and report on KPIs for both STS management and Boeing partners
  • Deputise for the Logistics Manager during periods of absence
  • Support and deliver on-the-job training for new staff and conduct competency assessments
  • Manage the safe use of MHE equipment such as forklifts in compliance with training and risk assessments

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in logistics or stock control operations
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong understanding of logistics process development and calibration management
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage workload and take initiative
  • Commercial awareness and customer service orientation
  • Familiarity with aviation logistics principles and systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience using PROMRO and other WMS platforms
  • Valid MHE (Forklift) licence or willingness to obtain
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and process accuracy
  • Analytical thinker with sound problem-solving abilities
  • Adaptability to handle unexpected issues and incidents
  • Ability to work both tactically and strategically
