We are looking for a Field Support Engineer who will be responsible for providing on-site technical support and assistance to our customers. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in IT or a related field, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with clients and understanding their technical needs. Experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems, servers, and networks is desired. This role involves diagnosing network issues, maintaining equipment, and performing routine technical tasks related to optical fiber and GPON technology. The technician will work with various testing tools, manage active IP core switches, and ensure effective communication and collaboration with teams across different regions.
Requirements
- Work experience in FTTH technology network troubleshooting activities.
- Brief understanding of optical Fiber/GPON technology.
- Basic understanding of IP Core switches with experience on related activities (Troubleshooting/Replacement of active switches).
- Experience in using test tools (OTDR, Power meter, VFL, Source meter, ethernet sequence tester).
- Holding relevant certification to work on UG/Aerial network will be a surplus.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Hold experience using Laptop and MS office tools and understand systems.
- Willing to travel to different areas in Midland for work requirement.
- Hold B.Tech/GCSE or equivalent qualification.
