About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical/Electronic Service Engineer to join our client, a well-established manufacturing company serving the rail industry. This role involves servicing, repairing, modifying, and commissioning machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs, maintenance, and modifications on machines and equipment.
  • Commission new, modified, or repaired machinery and systems.
  • Ensure all work is carried out efficiently, professionally, and within set timelines.
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support, including out-of-hours assistance as part of the on-call rota.
  • Travel across the UK and internationally as required for service assignments.

Key Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum three years of hands-on experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic machinery.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven background in fault diagnosis, repairs, and commissioning of complex systems.
  • Driving Licence: Full, clean manual UK driving licence (company van provided).

  • Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM - 3:45 PM, Friday: 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM

  • Permanent, Full-Time Role (37 hours per week)
  • Three-Month Probationary Period
