The Marketing & Revenue operations team is a dynamic, driven, fast-paced and highly engaged group. Together, the team is responsible for delivering best-in-class brand marketing, customer marketing, product marketing, pricing, revenue forecasting, sales targeting, and business intelligence; analytics capabilities to the overall TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods business. We are the focal point for driving the business’ organic growth strategy and work closely with cross-functional partners across our sales, product, finance, technology, and engineering teams.
In this exciting new role, you will lead the team responsible for product marketing across Agriculture software tools and services offerings. You will be responsible for understanding the market landscape of our products, working cross-functionally to develop go-to-market strategies, clearly articulating our unique value propositions, overseeing creation of sales materials and pricing programs, and leading a team of talented and emerging product marketers.
Here’s how:
- Lead cross-functional GTM strategy, planning, and execution for the launch of new features and capabilities, or new product introductions.
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, and sales teams to articulate product roadmaps, features and define pricing strategies.
- Partner with the market research team to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape. Create battle cards and other materials for sales and other internal teams to foster broad understanding of market assessment information.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our target audience, their pain points, and their buying behaviours.
- Develop relevant and impactful value propositions, messaging, and sales collateral to increase and deepen knowledge of your portfolio, including competitive differentiation, and pipeline development.
- Support sales and customer requests for content, customer presentations (acquisition, renewals, partnership growth opportunities, RFx's, etc.).
- Depending on capital investment in your portfolio of products, develop and execute a plan along with our sales training team to effectively merchandise and elevate the selling of your products.
- Collaborate with the customer marketing team to ensure product positioning is instilled throughout lead generation campaigns and conversion strategies.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to measure success of product marketing efforts.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in the consumer goods space.
What you bring to this role:
- 3-5+ years experience in SaaS, agriculture or telecommunications.
- Experience in product marketing, preferably in the agriculture software industry.
- Strong communication skills - Effectively convey ideas across written, verbal, and presentation formats.
- Market research abilities - Conduct and analyze market trends, competitor analysis, and customer insights to inform strategy.
- In-depth understanding of the product - Maintain comprehensive knowledge of product features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
- Customer empathy - Demonstrate strong understanding of customer needs, pain points, and expectations.
- Collaborative teamwork - Work effectively across departments, contributing to and leading cross-functional initiatives.
