ITV News is hiring a producer on a FTC / attachment basis for 6 months, with the potential to extend. The successful candidates will work across all ITV News Output on TV, on ITVX and Digital. This role also includes some opportunities working on Newsgathering and in the Field. It involves some shift work, including early starts and some weekend working.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the production of TV News bulletins
- Taking ownership of items including packages, live reports, headline sequences and graphics
- Script writing and video editing
- Researching and selecting archive
- Sourcing and logging video and stills
- Selecting video and soundbites to be edited for headlines and news-belts
- Pitching and developing story ideas
- Researching filming opportunities and interviews
- Carrying out interviews and acting as a field producer, when required, on filming shoots
- Working with ITVX and Digital teams to curate and create digital video, write articles and headlines, and create thumbnail images
- Making informed legal and health & safety judgments
