Do you want to gain experience across Marketing, Production and Events? This is a chance to work on an exciting project in the shape of our Expo taking place in Chicago. This ever-growing show will enter its 5th year, and we are looking for someone to support the marketing efforts and make it the best yet! Please note this role will run until the end of October, with a view to going permanent if it suits both parties. From there, there would be opportunities to work on other shows across the portfolio.
As you will be working on an American exhibition, the hours for this role are slightly different from standard hours. You must be able to work: 10 am-7 pm except Fridays (8.30 am-4.30 pm).
How you would spend the day:
- Develop relationships with partners, speakers, and exhibitors to maximize mutual benefits.
- Help manage and maintain data, create new marketing materials for socials and digital marketing activities.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure delivery of expected services.
- Research the Midwest’s built environment to understand industry trends, key players, and competitors.
- Understand the key markets we operate in to support marketing efforts.
- Assist in developing and implementing marketing plans to boost registration, revenue, and interest.
- Collaborate with Event Directors, marketing, sales, operations teams, and external agencies.
- Manage and brief speakers, build strong relationships, and liaise with them ahead of events.
- Work with the marketing team to update event agendas, websites, and marketing collateral.
- Update show websites and make necessary edits.
The ideal candidate’s personality and qualifications:
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Flexible and adaptable to perform various duties.
- Ability to work efficiently without sacrificing quality.

- Experience with social media.
- Experience with InDesign, Illustrator, and Canva (preferred but not essential).
