Are you passionate about music and eager to inspire the next generation of singers? Bromley Youth Music Trust (BYMT) is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled musical director/conductor for our flagship BYMT Youth Choir.

About Us

BYMT is a thriving musical hub in Bromley, where over 4500 students regularly attend instrumental and vocal lessons in schools. We proudly host 800+ students in our weekly ensembles, which include 3 Student Choirs, 3 Adult Choirs and a Musical Theatre programme among 34 regular ensembles. We also provide holiday courses, workshops, and masterclasses as well as annual concert tours to Europe for our most advanced musicians.

The Choir

The Youth Choir is a dynamic, high-level SSAB ensemble that brings together talented young voices (aged 11-18) to explore a rich mix of classical, pop, and musical theatre repertoire with songs performed in a variety of languages. Currently 40 singers attend regularly.

Who are we looking for?

  • As Director of Bromley Youth Choir, you will be an experienced and respected conductor and choir leader.
  • You will be able to inspire and direct gifted and talented students aged 11-18.
  • You should have a thorough knowledge of appropriate and engaging repertoire.
  • You will contribute to our vision of enriching the lives of children, young people, and the wider community through the transformative power of music.
